A Lot of Energy

Welcome back to real life everyone. Hope you had a fun Labor Day weekend! Mine was a blast and included a 7 mile run, a get-together with my family, shopping, and PLENTY relaxing.

Here are some scenes from Sunday’s adventures!

Delicious food!

Eating CAKE with my cutest little cousin. (Yes, cake had to be all caps!)

Playing with the Pimp My Hair app. 😉

Frosted Mini Wheats for dinner later that night.

A very fun day indeed! On Monday, I took advantage of my paycheck and went shopping for some “fall” clothes. I ended up buying more workout clothes than actual WORK clothes, but I still came home with two pairs of pants (red and pink!!!) and a plain black v-neck that I can hopefully use in a lot of different outfits. My gym clothes included 3 long sleeve running shirts, sports bra, and running socks. No pictures though, you’ll just have to take my word on it. 😉

Today it’s back to reality! I started the morning with coffee and followed that up with a big 1 egg 3 egg white omelet.

Teaching today was seriously crazy. I had about 15 minutes to get from the intermediate school to the primary school and be ready to teach a kindergarten class. It’s insane! And I don’t know what it is about today, but these kids were bouncing off the walls. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE when they’re all excited, but that’s a lot of energy to handle! haha

After work I went to my favorite treadmill at the gym to release some of my own energy. 3 miles and done!

I’m loving Hal Higdon’s training plan for my 1/2. All of these mid-week runs have been helping my endurance and just making me feel better for the rest of the day. 🙂 It definitely makes husband happy when I’m in a good mood.

Another thing that puts me in a good mood? CHOCOLATE.

Now I’m about to work on a yummy dinner. After this weekend, I’m ready to fill my belly with happy healthy foods once again!

Have a great night! 🙂

I am the same way, always say I am going to buy clothes and walk out with workout clothes. Never learn my lesson…

I know! And I wont even be able to wear those long sleeve shirts for MONTHS. I guess I’m prepared now though! haha

Ha, I think all of us health & fitness lovers do the exact same thing when we go shopping.. but more & more workout clothes. I’m not a big fan of “grown up” clothes shopping, I’d much rather buy adorable & comfy clothes to workout in!

Now if only they would let me wear Nikes and dri-fits to work! lol
